Light Up Creston is an annual community event marking the start of the holiday season in downtown Creston. Held each year on Black Friday, the evening brings together local businesses, families, and neighbours to celebrate the season and kick off local holiday shopping. The event is supported by the Town of Creston.

Present Wrapping
Complimentary gift-wrapping services are available during the event, so shoppers can get their presents wrapped and ready to go in one convenient evening.
Window Decorating
Local businesses are encouraged to decorate their storefronts and windows with festive lights and displays to enhance the Light Up experience across downtown.
In-store Activities
Participating stores are invited to host their own holiday celebrations — think mulled wine, seasonal snacks, special sales, vendor partnerships, and other activities that create a unique and memorable shopping experience.
Food Vendors
Local food vendors line the streets with seasonal treats and warm drinks, adding to the festive atmosphere. Grab a hot chocolate, sample local favourites, and fuel up as you shop your way through downtown.
Fire Pit & Games
Warm up by the fire pit and enjoy family-friendly games and activities throughout the evening. It’s the perfect spot to take a break, connect with neighbours, and soak in the holiday spirit.
