About the Business
What they offer: High Altitude Heli Services provides a range of helicopter services including private sightseeing tours, charters, wedding flights, and specialized support for agriculture and fire operations. Whether you’re looking for a breathtaking aerial experience or reliable professional service, Rob ensures each flight delivers both adventure and peace of mind.
Unique approach or specialty: What sets High Altitude apart is Rob’s rare combination of engineering expertise and flying experience. As a trained Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and licensed pilot, he personally maintains every detail of his helicopter, giving passengers the highest level of safety and care. Beyond the technical side, Rob’s adventurous spirit shines through, he’s always eager to explore new opportunities, partnerships, and creative flight experiences tailoured to his clients.
Their story: For Rob Taylor, flying began as a childhood dream inspired by trampolines, Air Cadets, and the thrill of defying gravity. That dream grew into a career marked by passion and perseverance. After training as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and earning his pilot’s license in 2013, Rob’s journey took him across Canada and Africa—where he even flew alongside National Geographic (ask him about his rhino encounter!).
Now back in his hometown of Creston, Rob founded High Altitude Heli Services to share his love of aviation with the community and travellers alike. His vision is to grow the company into a one-stop destination for helicopter solutions while continuing to create unique, once-in-a-lifetime experiences for every passenger.
As Rob puts it best: “The sky is not the limit but only the beginning of an extraordinary journey.”
