Amber McGregor

President

Hi, my name is Amber McGregor. I’ve called Creston home since 1997 and am honored to serve as President of the Creston Valley Chamber of Commerce. This community has built me, personally and professionally. Over the years, I’ve worn a lot of hats: running my own sales and marketing consultancy, managing warehouse operations at BC Tree Fruits, handling export distribution for Labatts, and coordinating SFU’s entrepreneurship program “LEAP!”. I’ve also been hands-on with community projects like the “Downtown Revitalization Project” and the campaign that got our indoor pool built.
Currently, I work as a business advisor supporting entrepreneurs across the Kootenay-Boundary region. And this past year, I supported the Chamber partnering with We-BC to host regional women’s events here in Creston.
One project I’m especially excited about is the Creston Valley Chamber’s new coworking space—it’s a full-circle moment for me, since my very first job out of college was managing a highrise of shared office spaces in downtown Vancouver.

When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me snowshoeing, hiking, and kayaking, or discovering new wineries, live music, and art shows.

A funny but true fact: I love to dress up…and down. One day, I’m picking up mail in a pink pantsuit ; the next, I’m in paint-stained overalls grabbing hardware
